 INTRODUCTION

A MESSAGE TO YOUTH SPORTS ORGANIZATIONS

BMS stands for “Body,” “Mind” and “Spirit.”   The BMS Project website hosts various programs developed and licensed by BMS Holdings Group LLC.  The BMS Programs promote sports participation and assist sports advocates to contribute to the safety, good health and well-being of athletes of all ages.

The central theme of all the BMS Holdings Groups’ resources is:  “Together… here for our youth!”  We strive to break down silos and endorse the Aspen Institute’s, Kid’s Bill of Rights; as well as SafeSport.org’s various youth sports participation encouragement campaigns and safety and well-being initiatives.

The BMS youth sports’ Programs and its supporting resources serve to create a portal into broader communities at-large.  The BMS Programs assist people to help themselves, utilizing a unique concierge-like approach.  The purpose of the concierge approach is to keep the programs and resources very simple and brief.  This approach avoids overwhelming users with too much information.

Of note, all of the BMS resources carry safety messaging suggesting where to start to respond to unprecedented situations that might threaten the safety of athletes and their families.  In addition to the provided early-step orientation suggestions — and in keeping with the BMS concierge-like approach — we then suggest a limited number of “next-step” suggested resources that individuals might consider accessing in order to pursue their quest to address their own needs and unique, personal situations.

The BMS Programs have been designed to serve several types of youth sports organizations:  1) Event organizers, 2) Team Organizations and 3) Non-profit and for-profit organizations involved in youth sports.  Most of the BMS Holdings Group’s  Programs are made available to the general public at no cost.

The “Body” website main menu dropdown largely deals with encouraging positive adult support and physical health matters.  The “Mind” main menu dropdown deals largely with mental health and self-harm intervention.  The “Spirit” main menu dropdown addresses metaphysical matters essential to the holistic well-being of everyone.

Please feel comfortable to access and preview the BMS Programs and resources.  If your organization does not utilize The BMS Project’s safety, good health and well-being programs, please consider doing so.  The basic package of BMS Programs involve no costs, is simple to implement and requires very minimal maintenance.  Additionally, the adoption and use of the BMS Programs can contribute to mitigate your organization’s liability risk exposure.
