The BMS Project

A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER

“BMS” stands for Body, Mind and Spirit.  We believe that sports participation is a wonderful opportunity to learn grow and become productive citizens… it should be fun and enjoyable too.  We strive to ensure that remains the case.

The BMS Project is dedicated to assisting sports advocates to create healthy safe, positive competitive experiences; as well as to promote mental health awareness and contribute to suicide prevention for athletes and youth in the arts and their families by providing information, suggested resources and educational guidance.  Paraphrased, I am often quoted as saying,  “…the reasons that we shouldn’t be doing this are the same reasons that it must be done; therefore, it shall be done!” – Bob Martin

The BMS Project’s programs are provided by BMS Holdings Group LLC and were licensed to The BMS Project Inc. beginning in 2022.  The BMS Project Inc. was co-founded by Bob Martin, Larry Lauvetz MA PPC and Francis A. Martin PhD.  On January 1st, 2026, The BMS Project Inc. ceased operation; however BMS Holdings Group LLC continues today to offer and license BMS Project dba no-cost, turn-key licensed programs to the public.  BMS Holdings Group LLC also provides optional for-fee Quick Pulse Metrics surveys, as well as various merchandising programs and services.

On June 10, 2024, The BMS Project’s founder, Bob Martin, was honored and invited to sit in the Buck O’Neil Seat at a KC Royals baseball game.  The bestowed honor was reflective of the community involvement of The BMS Project’s many volunteers, community leaders, youth organizations and service providers that have done so much to contribute to athletes’ safety and well-being.
