TEEN PROGRAM - COACHES RESOURCES

EMERGENCY – In a crisis call “911” immediately. To assist when considering self-harm call “988” – The National Suicide Intervention Lifeline.

INTRODUCTION

theBMSproject’s Teen Program focuses primarily on mental health and self-harm prevention.  Teens represent the highest at risk age group for self-harm.  Teens are not inclined to reveal their self-harm ideations to their parents and/or other adults.  They might share their self-harm thoughts to friends, but they are more likely to keep their private, thoughts to themselves.

Accordingly, all of theBMSproject’s various resources repeatedly contain and deliver important safety and well-being messaging for teens and other recipients.  It is extremely important that theBMSproject’s safety and well-being messaging is delivered directly to teens. The purpose is to ensure that when in crisis teens are aware what resources are available to them to manage and survive their crisis.

The Teen Four Pillars Program consists of:  I. An “Introduction,”  II. a “Pledge,” III. “Surveys” and IV. “Stickers.”  Please go to theBMSproject.org to learn how to join and implement our safety and well-being programs to protect your athletes and their families.  You can access theBMSproject’s Introduction at (introduction link)
