+23)<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-965f9ba elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"965f9ba\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\">Hello.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>No, longer a minor and you are now \u201cpurportedly\u201d the captain of your own fate.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Others\u2019 expectations, your own self expectations, your commitments and responsibilities can now hang around your neck like an albatross.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Believe us when we say that we know that it can become a heavy cross to bear.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You now might be still competing as an amateur, or as a collegiate (whatever that is now) or a professional level.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In adherence to our cultural, societal norms, you may have by now wrapped yourself in an insulating cocoon of superficial toughness and perseverance \u2026traits strongly associated with being an able, accomplished, tough minded competitor.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Is that you who you are? Have injuries and the judgments of other prevented you from accomplishing your goals?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Have your own natural ability limitations prevented from achieving your goals? <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">It is easy for others to shrug their shoulder and say, so what?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We say, the \u201cwhat\u201d is that you are a human being with human frailties and vulnerabilities \u2026with emotions and feelings.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We say \u201cwhat\u201d is that sports are a means to an end and should never be allowed to morph into feelings or intentions to commit self harm.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>If you have allowed obstacles to become corrosive prisons eating away at your self esteem and worth, then stop it.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>If you cannot do it by yourself, get help.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s where we come in.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Explore the options to get mental health\/lifestyle improvement advice. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">Those that would exploit you for their own self gain and accomplishment are not there for you \u2026they are there to use you.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Recognize their wolf\u2019s cloak and either cast them aside or seek the assistance from others to recover your self esteem, self worth and to bring meaning and joy back into your life.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Was D1 really right for you?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>How do you feel about that? <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Are there other levels of competition that better fit you and your situation \u2026your life satisfaction?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Were the commitments that you made to yourself and other written in blood?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Did you auction off and sell your soul in exchange for their good opinion of you?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The answer is <b>NO!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>YOU DID NOT<\/b>! <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">The effort to win is very important, but it IS NOT everything.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Your life, your loved ones\u2019 feelings for you, your life partners, your children, your parents, your true friends \u2026they represent everything.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">At 18, it all comes into play and lands squarely on you like an anvil \u2026money, grades, life partner relationships, your gender identification, professional careers.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Are you better suited to be a scholar, a teacher, an artist, a musician\u2026 to become an author, a good parent, a coach, an administrator \u2026to become an advocate for all of the good things in sports?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Only you can answer these questions,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Seek the advice and counsel of those that you trust and that are vested in your well being.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Discard the users and critics \u2026they don\u2019t care about you, they never have and never will.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Conversely, if you can compete, achieve and have the opportunity to become a champion, do so with every fiber of your being. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Just remain mindful to not become your own worst enemy.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Your opinion counts most.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>If circumstances conspire and become insurmountable, go find a climbable mountain to climb.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Teach your kids the same values.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Keep your moral compass aligned \u2026that starts with taking care of yourself.<b><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a23e091 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a23e091\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><b style=\"font-style: inherit;\">KEEP YOUR GRATITUDE HIGHER THAN YOUR EXPECTATIONS!<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>STEP TWO: YOUNG ADULTS (18 &#8211;
